Always Busy and Declining Invitations? This is for you.

To the busy person you are,

You've been too away lately; too stuffed and distant. You had a lot of things to do; a lot of things to pursue. When asked to go out, you reason how work can be too demanding. You say yes when you're both still planning but neither of these plans, you ended up attending. People vigorously edge in to fit your interest and schedule, but not to the extent of you letting them in. You were too busy, you say. Truly, you are.

You are too busy counting how many times you should fall in order to see through their lies. You are too busy enlisting the things you were not; the things you missed and the things which inadvertently slipped away. Too busy to question your potentials, your ability and your passion. You sulk in your own comfort, your own peace, thinking how it's only your own personal pace where you feel most secure and at bay. You are definitely too busy minding yourself. You question every night how you can ever be enough. You think you are too old for fun and too fed up for love.

You see, I am not telling you to stop being busy. I just hope someday, you'd rather choose to busily smile because you know you can do things your way. Be busy loving, who does not feel hurt anyway? Be busy hoping because wherever the end of the line is, there will always be a light at the end of the tunnel. Know that when you are this kind of busy, your sleep will be as sound and still, because yes, busy makes the body tired, but contention gives happiness a longer way.

Love,

Caris
